Hudson is a census-designated place in Pasco County, Florida. It is part of the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. Its population was 12,158 at the 2010 census. Hudson is a suburban community. It is located about 15 miles from Clearwater.

Hudson’s mother raised chickens and a milk cow. While the town’s diet was not as balanced as that of today, he emphasized that eating fresh vegetables was important. During the prohibition era, Hudson faced numerous problems with bootleggers and moonshiners. Hudson’s victory in this election gave him the opportunity to face those problems and regain his title as sheriff.
The Hudson River is one of the cleanest estuaries on the Atlantic coast. The city of Hudson had a population of 150 people in the 1920s. The town’s post office opened on May 16, 1882. The town has a cemetery, built with pitch pine, and a Baptist church on Main Street.
